Subjectively, I discovered the GP500 to have very accurate grayscale OOTB. It measured an DeltaE of just 2.3 which is less than what's visible to the human eye and quite acceptable. The Dynamic Contrast function really helped to bring the depth to Life of Pi's few night scenes and the color display was superb. Avatar was also awe-inspiring.
GP500 Black

The GP500 produced very clear and distinct colors. It also had a great grayscale performance OOTB.
